PhD and Postdoc opportunities on ‘transitions’ in Germany – deadline 31 Aug 2016

Check out the the following doctoral and post-doctoral opportunities being offered by GESF’s former EC-funded FP7 Project Partners – the  Goethe University Frankfurt and Eberhard-Karls-University Tubingen:

  • 12 posts for PhD students (E13, part time, 65%) and
  • 1 post for a postdoc researcher (E13, full time)
The FP7 Project, which involved Roger Dale and Susan Robertson as the UK partners in an 8 country study of youth transitions in education across Europe,  was called GOETE  – short for Governing Education Transitions in Europe. This new Centre, to be led by GOETE PI Professor Andreas Walter at the Goethe University of Frankfurt, builds on some of this earlier work. The above positions will be based within the new Research Training Centre ‘Doing Transitions’ -to investigate how transitions in the life course are shaped and produced on different societal levels. It combines the disciplinary perspectives of educational science, sociology, psychology and related social sciences. A more detailed description of the research programme and guidelines for applications can be found under www.doingtransitions.org.
