Human rights and social services campaigner

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic human rights and social service campaigner to build on the momentum of our program on privatisation in education and work with GI-ESCR and partners to transform the progress made into public mobilisation and concrete change. We are looking for someone to start immediately, for an initial one-year period (renewable subject to funding), based if possible in our Nairobi office (other locations to be negotiated).

The campaigner will assist in advocacy, communication, event organisation and fundraising to support the campaign efforts in response to privatisation of social rights at both the national and the international levels.  S/he will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness and development of the advocacy and campaign response to privatisation in education.

Research and Advocacy Intern

GI-ESCR is seeking a highly motivated Advocacy and Research Intern looking to grow in the human rights field for a full time internship. The intern will be expected to support and assist in research and advocacy efforts around privatization of economic and social rights in the international scene.  The internship is for a duration of 6 months. The intern will receive a monthly stipend of KES 30,000, gross.
