“Why are Teachers on the Global Policy Agenda? The Practical Argumentation of the OECD, the European Commission, Teacher Unions and Business?”
Tore has been in Australia undertaking fieldwork in Australia as part of his doctoral project on the OECD’s Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) program.
Australia is one of three national contexts he is researching (Finland and the UK are the other two) – aimed at looking at how and in what ways national education policy and practice agendas are influenced.
To help fund some of the travel costs assocatied with this fieldwork, Tore won a World Universities Network Student Mobility Grant, and has been generously hosted at the University of Sydney by Professor Tony Welch, Faculty of Education and Social Work.
